Persians in terms of facial structure traditional Persians are believed to be one of the oldest cat breeds in the world they resemble the turkish angora cat in some ways but have a less rounded head disease and heart disease the peaky faced Persian cat earns his name thanks to they flat face which resembles that of a Pekingese dog this was a spontaneous mutation which occurred in certain cats in the mid 20th century in a relatively short time this look became the breed standard at shows with breeders accentuating the look through breed selection while their unique look is well sought-after it also provides problems for the cats themselves the snub-nosed is a proxy cephalic which means that these cats are more prone to breathing difficulties and eye problems their eyelids can turn inwards maintain their large size and stocky body this makes them generally healthier but they are not always recognised by all cat associations the cat fanciers Association divides the persian cat into seven groups in terms of markings these are helpful in grouping the cats but their type will depend on facial structure most females can have up to three colors with males only exhibiting to these cats have only one color which can range from glossy black to brilliant white blues are one of the most beautiful solid coat types but only the white has the distinction of allowing up to three types of eye color which include bright copper deep blue or one for each the rest of the solid Persians have bright copper eyes only the chinchilla long hair Persian cat falls into this category but they are not limited to white with black tips golden chinchillas are also possible as our goal and shaded Persians they will have green or blue green eyes with black rims their pores are also black but their nose will be some hue of red the smoke colored Persian cats usually have a mix of colors which come out of their coat looking wispy like the smoke of its namesake they include black blue red and tortoiseshell colors the shaded Persian cats usually have an undercoat of one color with the outer coat displaying another tipped color tabby cats are found in many different breeds but in the Persian cat they have three different types of patterns the classic tabby mackerel tabby and patch tabby these markings make them look almost wild but their coats can also come in colors like blue silver brown and cream Khmer tabbies are generally more extroverted than other types of Persian cats while all types of particular Persian cats have brilliant copper eyes their code can come in blue with patches of cream lilac with cream or tortoiseshell by color Persian cats have two colors which can be a mixture of many different colors however this also includes calico cats which have mainly white coats with splashes of red and black a diluted calico persian cat will have this pattern but with the colors muted beautifully they look slightly washed out some have the van pattern which limits the bicolor to the head legs until one of the most popular Persian cats the Himalayan is a mixture of the persian cat and the Siamese this gives them the beautiful long hair of the Persian with the distinct marking of the Siamese this marking will have a white and fawn body color with a secondary color limited to the extremities and face while we may think of the second color being black it can also be chocolate lilac red or even tortoiseshell have you been able to recognize your persian cat from these different types and variations
